The Girl's hit NYC!

Hello New York City! Just returned a couple of days ago from New York City with my Grandma, Mom, Sisters, Aunt, and 2 Cousins! We had so much fun! We didn't see many sites, with the exception of RYAN GOSLING! Yes, we did in fact walk right past him while he was walking his dog near Central Park. He totally walks like a movie star and he was totally staring at my sister Debra! (Incidentally, she said he was totally staring at me too!). I am so blessed to have such close friendships with all of the gals in my family. We ate like queens!! Debra knows all of the good restaurants (she lived in NYC for 3 years), so we pretty much went out to eat A LOT...and saw two shows..."Little Mermaid" and "Hairspray". What a ball. To prove that we actually saw a star, I am including a picture. Remember Ryan Gosling in "The Notebook"? Well, yeah, we saw him alright!

Spelling can be fuhn!

Did anyone happen to notice that in the last entry I did actually spell "feat" ..."feet"? These are the kind of things a bored triage nurse notices in the wee hours of morning. Okay, I'm off to bed now. Guhd-bie, Nic

Our yard and California

Well, I thought I should share some pictures of our yard, since it's my latest thing I'm really proud of. Dustin and I spent an entire day working on the front yard some weeks ago. I'm going to take more pictures at the end of the summer and show the before and after. Incidentally, we did also plant a fruit/vegetable garden this year with the kids. Wow, that was a feet, mainly because they were (say in a very whiny voice).."So HOT!" and "So Tired!" and "I'm thirsty". Truth is, we're slave drivers, and we feel very good about our parenting skills...I promise, I think we do feel good! The kids who really took to the garden were Ivy and Sam, and it was really fun to watch them plant and baby the seeds. They are good friends right now, Dustin and I are sooooo happy about that. Of course, who couldn't be good friends with our kids? (oh brother)

Next picture, California...Dustin and I recently took a trip out to wine country, Lodi, CA. for my cousin's wedding. It was lovely! She is so sweet, and everyone is so happy to have her in the family. We stood with the rest of them and toasted our Martinelli's apple cider and I was sauced by the end of the night...seriously! To have a little trip without kids though...that was PRICELESS for us, I love him...I really love him!

the two girls who inspired me...etc

Well, here's the long awaited picture of Deb and Kris the sista's that started this blog thing.. and a fun one of our family vacation last summer. We are getting really excited for our vacation this coming August. We rented a beach house by Newport Beach, and we're taking the whole fam. We're already trying to figure the dimensions of a massive hole we want to dig in the sand over the course of a week. Tonight Sam said, "how about 9 feet deep?". I love that kind of ambition in a son!
We saw KungFu Panda tonight. I LOVE Jack Black! He is so funny! I love watching the kids laugh....popcorn and milkduds...it was a very fun night. I've decided I want to freeze the kids in this age right now, they are my favorite thing.

pictures coming

Well, turns out that gmail...where all of my pictures are stored is having trouble and doing maintenance, so the pictures will come...but on their time table! I'm so bitter!

In the beginning

Hello! I am really excited to be starting this blog...and it's my sister's fault, they both have blogs and I have to measure up. Oh, it hurts to say that. It's really important with my being THE OLDER sister that I actually try to be somewhat as tech savy as my two sissa's...anyway, here's a picture of the gals..(or at least I hope I can figure out how to put this picture in..hah. So, to all of you out there close to our family, please enjoy!
